The Kasetsart University Institute for Advanced Studies (KUIAS) has been assigned to implement the Reinventing University project continuously since the fiscal year 2021, aiming to enhance the capacity development of university personnel, including faculty members, researchers, support staff, and students. The project particularly emphasizes fostering academic collaboration with international expert professors, knowledge exchange, and joint research initiatives.
In the fiscal year 2026, KUIAS is accepting project proposals under three activities, with a total of 30 grants available as follows:
Activity 1: Advanced Research Capacity Development Abroad (Outbound Exchange)
Number of Grants: 5
This activity aims to enhance research output and accelerate international publication in scholarly journals, pushing toward the goal of becoming a world-class research university. It also focuses on building strong global research networks and increasing personnel capabilities to absorb deep knowledge and advanced technologies across borders.
Grantees under Activity 1 must send Master's or Doctoral students to conduct research abroad.

Activity 2: Enhancing Advanced Research in Collaboration with Foreign Professors Online (Collaborating Professor) and Supporting Full-time Researchers (Postdoc/Post Master Researcher)
Number of Grants: 20
This activity aims to elevate and develop advanced research by inviting professors, experts, researchers, or world-class award recipients to provide research guidance through online meetings. The goal is to accelerate international publication and develop research personnel through full-time post-master or postdoctoral researchers.

Activity 3: Borderless Research Collaboration with International Researchers via Online Platform (Virtual Researcher)
Number of Grants: 5
This activity supports and enhances the quality of research conducted by Kasetsart University personnel through collaboration with international postdoctoral researchers in a fully online format from anywhere in the world — with no need to travel to Thailand. The objective is to produce internationally published research, foster sustainable international research collaborations, and serve as a mechanism to attract international students and researchers to work and study at Kasetsart University in the future.
